The Suggested Price modal allows you to easily find and access historic details and pricing that is associated with the part you are quoting in a central location, directly in the context of your line item. This prevents users from having to look up the part number in other systems or tools to find price information.
To open the Suggested Price modal, click on an active Price Badge in the Suggested Price column. As a note, clicking on the Target Price (TP) icon from here will open this information as a side panel instead of within the modal.
When selected, the Suggested Price modal will open. In this modal, CPQ shows you the following information separated into tabs:
- Customer History: Order History and Quote History for the customer you've added to the quote header.
- Part History: Order History and Quote History for other customers (not the customer in your quote header).
- Contract Price: Contract Pricing for the customer in your quote header.
- Standard Cost: Cost information for the part you are quoting in your line item.
- Book Price: Book Pricing information for the part you are quoting in your line item.
- Web Price: Web Pricing information for the part you are quoting in your line item.
- Registration Price: Will show any Registration Pricing that exists for the part you are quoting in your line item. Registration Pricing for both the current customer in your quote header as well as other customers will appear in this tab.
- External Price: If CPQ has been connected to an External Price source, this tab will allow users to request pricing from your source system.
- Target Price*: If your customer has provided Target Prices and you've mapped them into your quote, they will appear in this tab for your reference.
In all of the Suggested Price modal tabs, you have the option to apply the prices to your line items. To do so, use the Quote This Price feature. Select the button below to get started.
When selected, the following side panel will open where users can choose which breaks to apply the price to. Select the breaks you'd like to apply the price to and click the Apply button to update:
