CPQ Release Version 2.10 June 30, 2025
In this release, we made two changes to the Add New Part side panel in the List View page.
Last Pick now tracks corrections across all Requested Part Number types (MPNs, IPNs, and CPNs), creating smart connections between related parts.
Previously, CPN Suggestions were quite limited and were only based on the Requested CPN field. We’ve expanded this feature to now intelligently discover customer part numbers even when they weren't provided in the original request.
We've added some additional fields to the Contract Price table. This will allow our customers to provide more contextual information about their contract price records. In addition, we’ve also added a new Contract Price tab in the Customer Details page that allows users to see all pricing for a particular customer account in one place.
Add New Part Improvements: Field Organization & Custom Fields Support
First, we re-arranged the fields in the side panel and grouped them into three sections:
- Part Info: Contains MPN, IPN, CPN, Requested Description, and Requested Manufacturer fields
- Quantities: Contains all quantity fields - the number of quantity fields shown in this section will coincide with the number of quantity breaks you’ve set up for your CPQ instance in System Settings - Quote Preferences page
- Target Prices: Contains all Target Price fields - similar to Quantities above, the number of quantity fields shown in this section will coincide with the number of quantity breaks you’ve set up for your CPQ instance in System Settings - Quote Preferences page
- Custom Fields: This is a new section we’ve added to the Add New Part side panel
Second, we’ve introduced the ability for users to add Custom Fields for single line item uploads via the Add New Part side panel.
Similar to the Custom Fields that can be added via file upload, users can add up to 10 Custom Fields via Add New Part:
These Custom Fields will appear in the same From RFQ tab in the Requested Details side panel and will still be exportable via our Custom Export feature.
Last Pick Improvements
Previously, CPQ would only associate Last Picks with the Requested MPN field. Last Pick now tracks corrections across all Requested Part Number types (MPNs, IPNs, and CPNs), creating smart connections between related parts.
When you correct a part, the system remembers that correction and suggests it when the same part appears later in different line items.
This enhancement expands the intelligent part suggestions CPQ provides to users, accelerating quote processing by building Last Pick recommendations that become more accurate and valuable with every correction.
CPN Suggestions Based On Requested MPNs & IPNs
Previously, CPN Suggestions were quite limited and were only based on the Requested CPN field. We’ve expanded this feature to now intelligently discover customer part numbers even when they weren't provided in the original request.
The system looks up both partial and exact CPN associations for all Requested Part Number types (MPNs, IPNs, and CPNs), ensuring users see relevant customer part numbers regardless of how the initial quote was submitted.
This eliminates missed opportunities to reference customer-specific part numbers and ensures more complete, accurate quotes even when customers provide incomplete part information.
Field Additions To Contract Price Table
The additional fields below have been added to the Contract Price table and will allow our customers to provide more contextual information about their contract price records:
These fields will appear in the Contract Price Master Data tab and will appear in all other locations in which Contract Price is currently shown, for example in the Contract Price tab of the Suggested Price modal:
We’ve also added a new Contract Price tab in the Customer Details page that allows users to see all pricing for a particular customer account in one place.
Users can search, sort, and filter to find the Contract Price records they need to reference for any given quoting opportunity or scenario.
CPQ Release Version 2.9 May 5, 2025
CPQ 2.9 adds new features for users and includes several improvements.
You now create quotes without using Customer Details.
Users can also now use Design Win and Open Order as automation rule criteria across all automation features in CPQ.
View the new Requested Details Panel in the text link in the Requested column of List View table.
We've made it significantly easier for users to access all information related to the part they are currently quoting for each of their line items.
There’s a new Part Description Field In Catalog.
Users will now have more options in Quote Settings to Refresh applying to their line items.
The Quote & Order History Comparison chart in the Customer History tab now supports a date toggle.
Create Quotes Without Customer Details
Create Quotes Without Customer Details CPQ users can now create quotes without using a valid, existing account in customer_master table. This allows users to account for scenarios where they must quote for new customers that have not yet been added to the Customer Master Table.
When creating new quotes, you can now enter any values into the Customer and/or End Customer fields:
These values will carry over to the quote header information section once the quote has been created and will also carry over into both Custom Export and PDF Export documents.
New Automation Rule Criteria: Design Win & Open Order
Users can now use Design Win and Open Order as automation rule criteria across all automation features in CPQ:
- Global Pricing Rules
- Customer Specific Pricing Rules
- Additional Fees
- Auto-Assignments
- Approvals Workflow
Requested Details Side Panel
We’ve made it easier for users to access their customer’s requested details that were uploaded into their list.
Users can now click into a new Show Requested Details text link in the Requested column of List View table. A new side panel will appear that shows users all fields that were uploaded into CPQ from the customer’s RFQ, or line item details added via the Add New Part feature.
In addition, we’ve moved Attachments into this side panel as well, in order to centralize all information that comes from the customer, and to make it easier to access all relevant assets and details in one location.
New Part Description Field In Catalog
We’ve added a new optional Description field to our catalog table that customers can use to provide descriptive information about their electronics components:
This field will appear in the following locations:
- Catalog Page
- Item Details Page
- All In-App Data Management Upload & Edit Interfaces
- List View Quoted Details Side Panel
- Custom Export
Quote Settings Refresh Options
When users make changes in the Quote Settings page and select Save, they will now have the option to choose whether they want to Refresh Lines or Do Not Refresh Lines.
If line items are refreshed, CPQ will refresh all line items in the list and recalculate suggested prices, update additional fees, and reassign line item owners based on current rules.
If line items are not refreshed, the existing line items in the list will remain unchanged, and the updated settings will only impact new line items that are added to the quote.
However, note that if you change Customer or End Customer, CPQ will not allow you to move forward without refreshing the line items in your quote.
Quote & Order History Pricing Rules
When Quote History and Order History pricing rules are applied to line items, CPQ will now only consider historic records from the last 12 months.
Any historic pricing records from more than 12 months ago are most likely out of date and will not be accurate, so these records will no longer be used for line item price.
Previously, when Quote and Order History pricing rules were applied, CPQ would consider all history from all time.
Customer History Chart Date Options
The Quote & Order History Comparison chart in the Customer History tab now supports a date toggle, where users can select whether they want to see the last 3, 6, or 12 months of history records. The toggle will be set to 6 months by default when users option this tab.
When the date toggle is changed, the data in Summary Metrics and Quote & Order History tables will update to reflect the selected time horizon.
CPQ Version 2.8 April 7, 2025
Customer Part Numbers You are now able to provide your customer part number data and leverage it to improve part matching and reduce quote processing time. This feature helps CPQ users in the following ways:
- Eliminate Manual Lookups: No more time wasted searching for corresponding manufacturer parts when customers submit RFQs with only their internal part numbers
- Efficient Quote Generation: Quickly identify the correct parts your customers are requesting, even when they only provide their internal reference numbers
- Improved Customer Experience: Respond to RFQs faster and more accurately, demonstrating your understanding of your customers' needs, preventing
Compliance Fields We've expanded our catalog schema to include five key compliance fields: RoHS status, REACH compliance, ECCN, HTS code, and country of origin. This enhancement enables users to:
- Access critical compliance information directly during the quoting process without consulting external systems. Sales teams can now immediately confirm component eligibility for specific markets or applications, reducing compliance-related delays and questions.
- Filter catalog items based on compliance criteria to quickly identify components that meet specific regulatory requirements. This capability is particularly valuable when quoting for customers in highly regulated industries or regions with strict import regulations.
- Enhance risk management by providing visibility into compliance factors that might affect shipment eligibility, delivery timeframes, or additional costs. This transparency helps set accurate customer expectations from the initial quote.ew badge to clearly indicate the special pricing agreements in place.
-
Last Pick Improvements In this release, we’ve expanded on the Last Pick feature to help individuals as well as all other users in their organization crowd source and find more accurate part corrections over time. Previously, our system only tracked a single Last Pick when uploaded parts failed to automatch to valid catalog records (resulting in No Match Found or No Exact Match statuses), and the user corrected the part by loading some valid catalog part into the line item. Now, CPQ will track all part replacements (regardless of initial matching status), associate Last Picks with the customer and end customer in the quote header, and show a new Last Picks suggestions tab in the Quoted modal that any user in your instance of CPQ can access. Note that the Last Pick feature is available for both Internal Sales as well as Self- Service.
Map Custom Fields Into Quotes Oftentimes, customers will add information such as comments, estimated annual usages, units of measure, or requested delivery dates, among many other possible details, to their RFQ or BOM files, that may be important for sales reps to reference during the quoting process. To support these use cases, we now support the ability to map up to 10 custom fields from RFQ and BOM files into our solution.
CPQ Version 2.7 March 5, 2025
-
Duplicates: The Duplicates section outlines that CPQ will now clearly indicate line items that have the same requested Manufacturer Part Number (MPN). This makes it significantly easier for users to identify duplicates and resolve them.
Specifically, CPQ will show a new Repeated MPN badge in the Requested column for any line items that share the same Requested MPN across multiple line items. Users can then select this badge to filter the list and view all the line items that have the same Requested MPN.
This enhancement helps users more easily spot and address duplicate line items in their quotes, improving the overall usability and accuracy of the CPQ solution. -
Design Win: CPQ allows customers to specify if parts in their catalog have a Design Win associated with them. Design Wins occur when a component is selected and designed into an OEM's product, typically involving a three-party arrangement between the component manufacturer, distributor, and OEM. When Design Win-flagged parts are added to quotes, CPQ displays a new badge to clearly indicate the special pricing agreements in place.
-
Life Cycle Status: Lifecycle Status has been added as a standard column in the CPQ catalog, making it visible in the List View "Quoted" column. This gives users quick visibility into the lifecycle stage of the parts they are quoting.
Additionally, a new "Filter By Lifecycle" section has been added to the Filter Toolbar, allowing users to easily filter the list of quoted items by their Lifecycle Status. This empowers users to quickly identify parts that may be in end-of-life, obsolete, or have other lifecycle considerations that need to be factored into the quoting process. -
Open Order Flagged Parts: The "Flag Parts Associated With Open Orders" enhances the system's ability to properly handle parts that have special pricing agreements in place due to open orders. By flagging these parts, the CPQ tool ensures the correct, agreed-upon pricing is quoted, helping to maintain profit margins. This improves the accuracy and consistency of quotes generated through the Supplyframe CPQ system, as users are able to easily identify parts with existing open orders and special pricing. Overall, this feature strengthens the CPQ tool's capabilities in managing parts with unique pricing structures, leading to more precise and reliable quoting for Supplyframe customers.
-
Group Action Improvements: The Update Assignee and Update Status options have been separated into two distinct features, allowing users to more easily manage assignees and line item statuses.
Additionally, the Update Approval Status feature has been updated to only display line items that require approvals, and to enable approvers to approve or reject multiple line items at once.
A new "Group Action Add Comment" capability has also been added, enabling users to add comments to multiple line items simultaneously. This builds on the existing "Add Internal & External Note" feature, providing more flexibility in how comments and notes can be managed. -
Email Notification Settings: Allows users to customize the email notifications they receive from the CPQ system. Previously, the CPQ tool would automatically send email notifications to users when certain events occurred. With this update, users can now access a new Email Notifications Settings page in their account settings to choose which email notifications they want to receive. This enhancement gives Supplyframe CPQ users more control over their notification preferences, enabling them to tailor the system-generated emails they get. It helps reduce inbox clutter and ensures users only receive the notifications most relevant to their workflow and responsibilities.
-
Requested Detail Improvements: Displaying the Requested Manufacturer in the Requested column, if that information is mapped into the line items. This allows users to quickly see the requested manufacturer to ensure they are quoting the correct parts.
Showing additional requested information, such as the Requested Manufacturer, in the list view modals. This enables users to easily compare the requested details against the part suggestions, cross-references, and advanced search results.
These improvements help Supplyframe CPQ users quickly access and reference the key details associated with the parts they are quoting. It enhances transparency and reduces the risk of quoting the wrong parts, improving the overall efficiency and accuracy of the quoting process.

Commodity Intelligence: Commodity Intelligence is now available in Supplyframe CPQ in Internal Sales for those with a subscription to Commodity Intelligence. You can access Commodity information for their parts in List View as well as in the Item Details page. This feature is not offered in Self-Service.
Insights such as Price Index, Lead Time Index, Demand Index, and Inventory Index are shown in the new Commodity Intelligence side panel. The new AI Insights tab provides a summary of trends and predictions. It shows an AI-powered analysis of trends for the commodity you’re viewing. These insights can be used to learn more about the market and find recommendations on how to respond to market changes.
In the Commodity Intelligence tab of the side panel, each of the indices will display a chart showing historic trends (blue) as well as projections for the next three months (orange). Reference month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year trends underneath each index’s chart for additional performance information. Click on the links in the "Learn More" section on the bottom of the side panel to find additional information about the commodity intelligence displayed. -
Select Quote Price Break: The CPQ solution supports up to six breaks per line item. Towards the end of the quoting process, you may need the ability to select a specific Quote Price break that either your customer (Internal Sales) or yourself (Self-Service) intend to order. You can now select breaks using the following new button in the Quote Price column of List View. Only one break can be selected per line item.
You can also select a Quote Price break for more than one line item at a time with the new Group Actions feature. As you select Quote Price breaks for your line items, CPQ will add up the Extended Prices of each selected break and show an Award Value total above the "Refresh All" button. Click into the Award Value button to see the extended value of your selected breaks only vs. extended value per quantity break (across all lines in your list).
Award Values will also display in the Quotes page. Supplyframe has added four new exportable columns to the Custom Export feature that allows you to export data related to the specific selected Quote Price break for your lines: Selected Quote Quantity, Selected Quote Price, Selected GP%, and Selected Extended Price. -
Notifications Improvements: New individual user tasks or team tasks assigned will now display a notifications badge to indicates you have new line item assignments or approvals to review. Notifications badges will appear for both My Tasks and Team Tasks, and will go away after you view your assignments:
Improvements have been made as to how CPQ handles "At Mentions", which makes it easier for you as mentioned users to open and respond back to comments you're tagged in. When you are tagged in comments using "At Mentions", you will receive a notification that indicates you have a new line to review. When you click on the notification, CPQ will now:
1. Take you to the list in which you were mentioned.
2. Scroll to and briefly highlight the specific line item you were mentioned on.
3. Open the Activity side panel.
4. Point out the "At Mention" comment for you as the recipient to review.
When you or your teams are added to lines as assignees and approvers, you will now receive notifications. When the notifications are selected, it will automatically filter the list by the line items you were assigned to. -
Pricing Engine Enhancements: CPQ now displays which Pricing Rules are being applied to quotes during the "Create New Quote" process and in Quote Settings. This makes it easier to understand which set of pricing rules are being used for a given list. For Admin users only, you will see a System Settings link in the new banner that allows you to quickly access the Pricing Rules that are applied to your list in the System Settings page.
You can now click into "Pricing Explanation Tooltips" to open the Pricing Engine tab in Quote Settings and view all pricing rules that apply to your list. - New Edit History Events: CPQ now shows edit history events when line items are assigned to you or your teams with Auto-Assignment rules and Approvals Workflows. For additional context, the application will also show the details of the rule that was applied so you can see why the system assigned the individual or team to the line item. Additionally, edit history events have been added for "Additional Fees".
