The Filter Side Panel on the left side helps you find, organize, and work through the parts in your list.
The Filters view consists of ten sections that allow you to filter and view your list based on the its defining criteria. These filtering options include by:
- Status
- Product
- Category
- Sub-Category
- Manufacturer
- Line Item Attributes
- Price Source
- Line Item Status
- Assignee
- Approver
Click on an option within any of the sections in order to view the parts that match that specific filter criteria. You can apply one filter per filter category at a time. When you need to remove an applied filter, click on the X next to the filter's name. When filters are applied, you'll see the total count of line items adjust to show the number of lines that meet your applied filters.
1. Quick Filters
Use the Quick Filters listed underneath the Quote Information section of the page to start quoting your list.
- Parts No Match: Will filter your list by line items that didn't match to a valid part in your Catalog. This includes lines that resulted in No Exact Match and No Match Found
- Parts Assigned To Me: This feature will filter your list by line items that are either assigned to you, or a team you belong to
2. Type To Filter
Quickly find any of the filters you need by typing into the Type To Filter feature at the top left of the Filter Side Panel:
As you type, any matching filters will appear underneath the search box:
3. Filter by Status
The options in this section provide a quick way to filter your list based on common high priority use cases in the quoting workflow.
- Suggested & Quote Price Mismatch
- Exact Match
- Not Matching Stock
- Without Price Info
- Target Price Not Met
- With Expired Pricing
- Contact Sales Rep
- Without Quote Price
- Needs Attention
4. Filter by Product
Products represent the broadest classification of a part, typically referring to the main product type (e.g., Resistors, Capacitors, Microcontrollers).
This taxonomy categorization is based on the Catalog master data your organization is using for your instance of CPQ and the products shown in this filter correspond with the parts in the Quoted column of your list.
5. Filter by Category
Categories are another taxonomy level that groups parts based on functional or technical characteristics within the product.
Like Products mentioned above, this taxonomy categorization is based on the Catalog master data your organization is using for your instance of CPQ and the products shown in this filter correspond with the parts in the Quoted column of your list.
6. Sub-Category
Sub-Categories are the most specific classification within CPQ's part taxonomy hierarchy and often related to physical specifications, performance, or material.
Like Products and Categories mentioned above, this taxonomy categorization is based on the Catalog master data your organization is using for your instance of CPQ and the products shown in this filter correspond with the parts in the Quoted column of your list.
7. Filter by Manufacturer
This will allow you to filter your parts by the Manufacturers associated with the parts in the Quoted column. This Manufacturer data will come from the Manufacturer Name field in your Catalog.
8. Filter by Line Item Attributes
Once you have uploaded a list, you can easily identify the status of parts by reviewing them with the Filter By section. Get quick visibility into your list by showing only parts that have:
- Xref (Form Fit Function)
- External Suggestions
- External Xref, Form Fit Function
- Catalog Suggestions
- Changed OPN
- Assigned Lines
- Overdue Tasks
- Has Suggested Price
- Split Quantities
- Has Subitems
- No Bid
- Has Comments
- Has Attachments
- Has Notes
9. Filter by Price Source
Click on your preferred Price Source to review parts that contain the following pricing information:
- Purchase History
- Quote History
- Standard Cost
- Contract Price
- Book Price
- Web Price
- Registration Price
10. Filter by Line Item Status
You can quickly filter your list by the Line Item Status of parts in your quote.
These statuses correspond with the statuses you've set up in the System Settings page of your CPQ instance.
