Use the Line Item Statuses feature to track the progress of your lines throughout the quoting process. These statuses can be configured in System Settings by Admin users and can be tailored to match your quoting workflow and the specific needs of your company.

Default Line Item Statuses

When you first gain access to Supplyframe CPQ, your instance will come pre-loaded with the default configuration of statuses shown below.

Use the New Status + button to create new statuses, edit existing ones, and customize them to match your team's quoting workflow.

Configuring In System Settings

The following fields can are editable:

  • Line Item Status: Add the name of your status to this field.
  • Short Code: Define the abbreviation that will display in the Line Item Status badge shown in the List View page.
  • Color: Choose a color for your line item status from a list of defined options.
  • Preview: This column will show what your new Line Item Status badge will look like in the List View page.
  • Default: Select the status that CPQ will automatically assign to line items when they are first uploaded into quotes.

Remember to select Save after configuring your statuses to ensure your updates are applied successfully.

Approvals Workflow

Line Item Statuses are an integral part of the Approvals Workflow feature and are utilized when creating your transitions:

List View

Line Item Statuses will appear in the "Status" column in the List View page.

To change statuses for individual line items, click into the Status column and use the "Line Item Status" dropdown to select the desired option.

Note that if you've created an Approvals Workflow, the Line Item Statuses that are available in the dropdown are dependent on the transitions you've configured in System Settings.

To change Line Item Status for more than one line item at once, select the lines you would like to update the status for, and click on the Update Assignees & Statuses button in the Group Actions dropdown. Select the the new status and click on Save.
