A Request For Quote, or RFQ (A.K.A BOM, or Bill of Materials), is a collection of parts that a customer needs quoted using CPQ.
RFQs are uploaded into CPQ and after line items have been matched, configured, and priced, the end result is a finished quote that can be sent back to the customer.
Each quote should be matched with a Customer in CPQ so that the right pricing information is automatically filled. You can create and upload an unlimited number of quotes to CPQ.
New quotes can be created from the Quotes page, or by clicking on the + icon in the top right corner of the navigation bar.
Quotes must meet the following requirements before they can be uploaded to CPQ:
- Supplyframe CPQ accepts files that are less than 5MB in size and supports the following file types: .xlsx, .xls, .csv, .tsv, Eagle.sch, KiCad.sch, .SchDoc
- Note that Strict OOXML file types are not supported - for best results, we recommend using .xlsx format
