You can now create custom Quote Reasons using the Quote Reasons sections in System Settings. This section allows admins to configure the following fields:
- Quote Reason - Short description of the reason.
- Default - Identifies the Quote Reason that is pre-selected and assigned to new quotes if the user does not make a selection. There can be only one reason designated as "Default".
- Active - In order to guarantee data integrity, a Quote Reason that is in use currently is not deletable. Instead, the administrator can mark a Quote Reason as Active if it is available for use, or de-select if not available for use.
- Sort Order - Allows admins to specify the order in which Quote Reasons will display in the Quote Reason dropdown.
To create additional options, click on New Reason. This will create a new row. Enter in the Quote Reason name, modify from the dropdown its Color as desired, and check the box to make it "Active". Then click on Save to complete adding your new status.
After Quote Reasons are configured, the defined quote reasons will now appear in the Customer Information modal during quote upload or new quote creation. You can select the appropriate Quote's reason from the dropdown menu.
